In case you're wondering who Donna Akodu is, she has been a worship leader for over 20 years, and in recent years has been penned songs such as Rain, I believe, The Power of your love and One hope to name but a few. "Donna prophetically declares the Lordship of Jesus through her songs of worship and deliverance. She has a unique way pf taking hold of a ´?¢dead' atmosphere and infiltrating it with ´?¢life' through her spontaneous songs of freedom and faith." Lara Martin Worship Leader Recorded live in south London earlier this year, Butterfly captures Donna's heart of leading people into a place of intimacy, where they can be transformed by God's presence. Written with some of the UK's finest worship leaders and songwriters Donna has penned songs that have captured her journey to date. Speaking of her personal triumphs and valleys these songs express her heart towards her heavenly Father, and her journey to becoming. From the big sound of Heaven's song (co-write with Noel Robinson), to intimate songs such as Trust (co-write with Jake Isaac), Donna shares with us hers lows and her highs, but through it all grounding her faith in God, then with songs such as I see The Lord and Your presence she leads us just there ´?¢ His presence. It shows her growth from the first album, not only that Donna is a gifted worship leader, but that her gift extends beyond that as a songwriter who writes from the heart.
